Counselling Conscientious Objectors
We provide support to individuals who wish to refuse military service, both in Germany and particularly in the South Caucasus. There, we assist young people who are fleeing the war in Ukraine through the Caucasus. We offer regular online consultations, a hotline, and a Telegram channel on-site, and we assist in compiling documents for potential visa applications or planning onward travel.
We have joined the campaign advocating for the right to asylum for conscientious objectors.
In Germany, we have launched a hotline for affected individuals, relatives, and friends of conscientious objectors:
Hotline: Tel. +49(0)30 2082284 or via
Email: [email protected]
Right of Asylum
Russian conscientious objectors are usually rejected in asylum procedures in the EU, while conscientious objectors in Ukraine and Russia are sentenced to long prison terms. Over 100 organizations from more than 20 countries are showing their solidarity and standing up for these people. On the occasion of the war in Ukraine, they are calling for protection and asylum for conscientious objectors and deserters from Russia, Belarus and Ukraine. The human right to conscientious objection must also apply in times of war.
